Israel, like every country, faces challenges when it comes to diversity. In this pack we will learn about Israel’s core values as they were envisioned in Megillat HaAtzmaut, Israel’s Declaration of Independence. We will reflect on the challenges of a diverse population within Israel’s Jewish majority and then consider the broader diversity of Israel’s population including non-Jewish minorities. Finally, we will ask ourselves, despite the challenges, what common values unite Israelis? How do we see these values expressed in Israeli society?
